RLC has four core values: Faith in the Promises of God, upholding the
Integrity of the Word, our Righteousness in Christ Jesus and Excellence
in ministry. All together they are F.I.R.E. (see the values
section below). We are passionate about them. We invite you to be
a part of us. Get connected by going to a Newcomers Party and meet the
Pastors. We will also help you along your spiritual journey to discover
who you are in Christ.
God, our Father, placed us in Waterville Maine to be a loving church body,
building up each other to be sent out into His Harvest." Our
Mission statement is: Where there is no vision the people perish..."

RLC Values:
Spreading The Fire
Faith in the
Promises of God: The Bible says that “without Faith it’s impossible
to please God” - Heb. 11:6.
It also says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the
word of God” - Rom. 10:17.” At RLC we endeavor to maintain
and encourage, in the believer, a high level of faith. To that end a strong
emphasis on teaching the rudiments of Faith and its application in daily
life is presented to the congregation. Remember, “If you have faith
as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by
the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.” -
Luke 17:6-7 (NKJV)
Integrity of the
Word: “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:
but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost”
- 2 Peter 1:21. The writers of the New Testament admonished us to remember
that we are Sanctified by the Word. As a church body we strive to maintain
a high level of Integrity in both the Preaching of the Word and in our
daily lives. If, in the world, a man’s word is his bond, how much
greater must the solemn bond of God’s Word be when spoken and lived
before men. With this in mind, all are encouraged to put to practice this
holy commission that, “as He is, so are We in this world”
- 1 John 4:17.
Righteousness:
Simply knowing that we’re Justified by Faith is wonderful indeed.
However, we must also remember that the same blood which cleansed us from
sin also made us “the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”
– 2 Cor. 5:21. Our ministry staff regularly presents, to the church
body, Gods’ wonderful plan of salvation, as expressed in scripture.
Part of this plan is the transformation of our old nature into a glorious
new creation. Yes it is true that we were once “an old sinner saved
by grace”, but now, “if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- 2 Cor 5:17. What a wonderful thing to realize, that we no longer have
to hide in the shadows of God’s presence. Now, no longer tainted
by the old sin nature, we can, “come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need: - Heb
4:16. At RLC we desire to inspire the believer to reach for the prize
of their high calling in Christ Jesus. The Lord has so much love and confidence
in us, giving us powerful promises and authority with which to change
the world. Isn’t it time that YOU step into your place and become
another of Christ’s disciples who “turns the world upside
down.” Remember, God is For you not against. You.
Exellence in
ministry: In the New Testament there are 4 words translated as Excellence,
the sum of their definitions would be: Strongest in Dignity, Very Honorable,
To make a difference in matters of importance, To go beyond the usual
mark producing Greater Quantity & Quality, To act in a manner Befitting
Greatness. What could be considered to have more Greatness than the Gospel
of Jesus Christ! So, to this end, RLC continually strives to maintain
the highest levels of Excellence in our Ministry, Service and Lives. It
is our hearts desire that, by an Excellent example of Christian living,
hearts may be touched, lives changed and many won to the Kingdom of God.
